Elementary
9AM Halloween Fun! -- It's my favorite season! Join me in lots of Halloween fun with science, crafts, history, games, and snacks!
10AM "I Like Ike" and Mosaic Mock Election -- We will be exploring the government, the history of presidential elections, and the election process using many sources including games from iCivics. And we will explore the process with our own Mock Election!
11AM Gross Animals and How to Love Them! -- In this class we will learn about gross animals from one of the six main animal groups each week. Get to know perplexing mammals such as the Muntjac Deer, creepy birds like the Marabou Stork, disgusting fish like the Hagfish, yucky reptiles such as the Fish-Scaled Gecko, repulsive amphibians such as the Knobby Newt, and Ghastly Invertebrates like the Bubble Raft Snail! We’ll find out how being gross actually helps animals get through life, and learn how to love them for who they are. (Or at least how to overcome our queasiness and admire their style!) And if you think these animals are gross, wait 'til you see what nature was up to in the distant past!

9AM Personal Finance -- We will be learning how to budget, what to expect out of your paycheck, the hidden costs of owning a car, the costs of living on your own, and affording college. (12yo+)
10AM Dinners & Yum! -- Come join us weekly for a super fun cooking class! We will be making dinner this time around. There will be lots of chopping, dicing, frying, sautéing, and more. We hope to see you this fall! (12yo+)
11AM Macramé for Dummies -- Over our six-week class, we will be making four macramé projects using several techniques. For the first three weeks, we will do three smaller projects, one each week. We will do one more complicated project over the remaining classes during the last three weeks. (12yo+)

Elementary
9AM Storytime Soaps -- We will be reading books and then making soap based on the story we read! Science, creativity, and a lot of good clean fun!
10AM Drawing with Lucy: Back to the Basics -- In this class, students will learn the skills to help them create amazing art more easily and enjoyably! Each week, students will learn new steps to allow them to effortlessly take the image in their minds and put it onto paper. From realism to the cartooniest drawings you can think of, we’ll go back to the basics and help expand student techniques and explore the art world!
11AM Literature Through Minecraft: Harry Potter -- In this class, we will be shooting through the magical universe of Harry Potter by JK Rowling. Students will be split into 4 teams (for each Hogwarts house) and will be building different locations throughout the first book each week. Competitions alongside trivia questions will help teams gain points for the house cup, which will be awarded to the winning team at the end of the last class. We will only be discussing the first Harry Potter book, and the discussion should focus on that book to prevent spoilers for other participants. (UE+)

9AM Banned Books: Constitutional Considerations -- In this class, we will be learning about and discussing the parts of the US Constitution that concern banned books in preparation for part 2 (to come in the Winter Session) in which we will address banned and challenged books themselves. (12yo+)
10AM Excellent Entrepreneurs -- Have you ever wanted to start your own business?! Join us as we learn all the ins and outs of creating and running a successful business. We will learn about business plans, money management, customer service, and marketing. As individuals or as teams, you will choose a product or service that you think is needed/wanted by members of our co-op. You will gather all the needed supplies and begin production. (12yo+)
11AM Intermediate Crochet -- This class is intended for those who have basic crochet experience. You will need to know how to chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and half double crochet. We will learn how to work in the round, make a magic ring, work in different parts of a stitch, and how to make different stitches. (11yo+)
