Q: Are you accepting new members?

A: All of our new member spots have been filled at this time and we are keeping a running waitlist.  If you'd like to be added to the waitlist, please send us an email. Thank you for your interest in joining!

[*Note: the best way to build community and friendships is to have regular and frequent interactions with the group. For this reason, we will only be accepting new members from our waitlist who wish to be involved in a little bit of everything - virtual classes, clubs, and field trips!]

Q: When and where do you meet?

A: Mosaic meets for 12 weeks in each of the Fall and Spring sessions.  Our program consists of a combination of virtual classes, clubs, and in-person field trips.  Online classes will run for 6 weeks each and take place on Fri mornings.  Fri afternoons are reserved for our in-person field trips held throughout the WNY region!  Clubs typically take place on Weds, but may occur on other days of the week.

Q: Do you require masks or vaccinations?

A: At some meet-up locations, perhaps.  You can read our full COVID-19 statement in the Member Handbook!

Q: Is this a religiously affiliated co-op?

A: No. Mosaic Homeschool Community is an inclusive community. We have families of all kinds in attendance and welcome others from all faith traditions, family structures, educational philosophies, and backgrounds!

Q: How much does it cost?

A: We require a $12 membership fee per family for each of the Fall and Winter/Spring virtual sessions to cover our website and Zoom costs.  Classes and field trips are offered à la carte.  The additional costs are set by and paid to the individual teachers and venues.

Q: How do I pay for our membership, classes, and field trips?

A: Invoices will be visible in your family account and you will pay directly from the invoice through PayPal.

Q: What about supplies?

A: Any teacher that requires supplies will provide a supply list on the class registration page.  Please be sure to preview all class descriptions and supply lists prior to committing.

Q: Can I teach a class?

A: Absolutely! We love to see our community sharing their knowledge and talents! If you have a great idea for a class, click the Prospective Teachers tab and send us your class proposal.

Q: Where did the My Invoices/Registration/Shop etc. links go?

A: Are you logged in?  Several of our pages are viewable only to active members.

Q: How can I share Mosaic Homeschool Community with other homeschoolers and potential teachers?

A: Fear not! You do not need to memorize the entire homeschool-life.com web address. MosaicHomeschool.com will bring you right to our homepage.

Q: I am new to homeschooling. Where do I begin?

A: Please see our New to Homeschooling page for more info!
